Family Edition Volume III: A Mother’s Encouragement

IMG_2665

Raymond Santana began training with URA as a freshman and is now a junior.  Raymond said that his father and sister already were runners, but he convinced his brother to start and his mom.  His mother, Martha, made sure to wake him up for Saturday training runs. She is a very supportive mom and saw the benefit of being a part of URA. She always made sure Raymond attended training sessions. Moms and sons always have a special relationship. Raymond has developed a love for running and a lot had to do with his mom encouraging him to be consistent. Now Martha is out there on Saturday mornings encouraging other runners.  Way to go Martha!
